National Organization for Medical (NOMI) Charter

Introduction

NOMI is a 501c6 nonprofit Member-Benefit Professional Association. NOMI offers a definition of the professional practice of Medical Intuition, a Code of Ethics for safe and legal practices, as well as resources and information for NOMI members and the public.

NOMI provides value to our Professional Medical Intuitive Membership through career and business enhancing opportunities including access to educational materials, resources, marketing, community building, participation in outreach and surveys, and affiliate discounts.

NOMI also offers Supporting Memberships for individuals, health and wellness providers, and organizations, with benefits including field awareness materials, resources, and opportunities to participate in NOMI’s outreach teams.


NOMI CHARTER

1.    NOMI is a 501c6 nonprofit Member-Benefit Professional Organization open to self-identified medical intuitives to become NOMI Professional Medical Intuitive Members with specified eligibility requirements. In addition, NOMI accepts individuals, healthcare providers, and organizations as Supporting Members.

2.    NOMI is not an endorsing, designation-granting, certifying, or regulatory body for the practices of professional medical intuitives, and does not operate as such.

  • Professional Medical Intuitive Member requirements for eligibility include: evidence of a fee-based professional practice; public identification as a professional medical intuitive; contact information; a dedicated practice of medical intuition offered separately from a healing service; a disclaimer on their website/public contact materials; a practice that adheres to state and local laws, used within the practitioner’s legally defined scope of practice, and in adherence to their professional licensures and certifications; and a signed agreement to abide by NOMI’s Code of Ethics and Definition of Medical Intuition. 

  • NOMI does not require Professional Medical Intuitive Members to have any specific educational background, provide proof of competency or accuracy in skills, length of practice, credentials or certifications, method of practice, anatomy/physiology training, ethics training, insurance, or any additional requirements, for inclusion as a NOMI Professional Medical Intuitive Member or access to any member benefits. 

  • If NOMI finds that a member or member candidate does not abide by NOMI’s eligibility requirements, Code of Ethics, and/or Definition of Medical Intuition, their membership will be revoked or denied.

  • A Professional Medical Intuitive Member candidate with a felony conviction is ineligible for membership. 

3.    NOMI is not an endorsing, designation-granting, certifying, or regulatory body for training organizations, programs, classes, or mentors in Medical Intuition, and does not operate as such.

  • NOMI does not vet Medical Intuition training organizations’ curricula or educational materials.

  • NOMI does not accept Medical Intuition training programs as Organization Supporting members. However, a Medical Intuition training organization may request a discount on first-year Supporting Memberships for their students, graduates, faculty, and/or membership base.

  • NOMI does not offer training in Medical Intuition to NOMI membership or to the public.
